Working With Us
At Pendulum Therapy Services, we believe that therapy should feel clear, human, and grounded in real life. This page is here to give you a practical sense of how we work, what you can expect from the process, and the professional standards that shape everything we do. Whether you’re feeling ready to begin or simply gathering information, you’re welcome to explore at your own pace.

What To Expect From Therapy
Therapy at Pendulum is always shaped around you. Some people choose to come for a single session, while others work over a short period of time—many people find that around 6 to 10 sessions is a helpful starting point, though this is never fixed or expected.

The aim of the work is always therapeutic change, guided by what feels most meaningful and relevant to you. Sessions are client-led, meaning you choose what you bring, the pace we work at, and when the work feels ready to come to a close. You are always in control of your process.
Session Structure & Practical Details
Sessions at Pendulum Therapy Services are offered on a one-to-one basis in a calm, confidential setting. Each session lasts 50 minutes and takes place at a regular time agreed together. Some clients come weekly, while others prefer sessions spaced further apart depending on their needs and circumstances.

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance for therapy. There is no “right” way to do it. You can arrive exactly as you are and we will take things from there, at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.
Working Agreements, Boundaries & Confidentiality
All work at Pendulum Therapy Services is supported by a clear, collaborative working agreement. This helps us establish shared expectations, professional boundaries, and a transparent understanding of confidentiality from the very beginning.

Confidentiality is taken seriously and handled with care and integrity. Any limits to confidentiality are explained fully and clearly so that there are no surprises. This agreement exists to help you feel safe, informed, and respected throughout the work we do together.
Our Approach To Change
We believe that meaningful change happens through steady, honest conversation that stays grounded in real life. Therapy doesn’t need to feel abstract or confusing to be effective. Our work is rooted in collaboration, reflection, and practical thinking that helps insights translate into everyday change.

Some sessions move gently and slowly. Others carry more momentum. Both are welcome. What matters most is that the work feels real, relevant, and usable beyond the therapy room.
Professional Standards, Training & Memberships
Pendulum Therapy Services works to high professional and ethical standards. All therapy is delivered by fully qualified practitioners who engage in regular supervision and ongoing professional development.
